Children

Children from age 3 through 4th grade experience God’s individual love for them in our two Catechesis of the Good Shepherd classrooms.  Susan Rauh and Mimi Strohmeier are the catechists in the Level I Atrium, with Lora Caudill and Martha Holland working in Level II.  A CGS atrium is a special place for children to come to learn to love God and to learn how much God loves them.

At Saint Andrew’s we have had a Level I atrium for children age 3-6 for three years.  We opened our Level II room, for 6-9 year olds, this fall.

For the 2006-2007 program year population of children would have given us a very small 4th and 5th g rade class, so we have allowed our 4th graders to join the new Level II atrium and our lone 5th grader becomes a middle schooler on Sunday mornings.  If we have a sudden influx of 11 year olds we will be glad to open a classroom for them.  In the meantime incoming 5th graders and their parents will discuss their options with Ms. Martha and choose to join the Middle School or the Level II Catechesis group.
