Welcome - we are glad you found us.

St. Andrew's is a warm, accepting congregation engaged in building up the kingdom  of God in this Highlands neighborhood, greater Louisville, and around the world. Since our establishment 150 years ago, we have been committed to sharing our vision with the larger community.  Our congregation is an ever-expanding family, from our littlest ones to those who have been the parish's foundation since we moved to our current location a decade following the 1937 flood. Come join us Sunday morning or Wednesday evening as we celebrate God's goodness and let God's word challenge us to share His light with the world. We pride ourselves on incorporating our rich Episcopal liturgy and tradition of musical excellence with energy and relevance for today's people. We wish you God speed on your spiritual journey.

Come As You Are
9:30 a.m. Family Service

During the summer the church is trying something new. We have added a "Come as you are" family service at 9:30am in the downstairs chapel. The service lasts around 30 minutes includes guitar music, one lesson, and a children's homily. So far it has been well received. Whether you have just rolled out of bed and show up in your pajamas, or are dressed for a day at the zoo/pool/park etc., stay connected over the summer. Don't hesitate to bring a friend. See you there.

Church and Diocese Activities:

Wednesday Night Book Club - Currently we are discussing People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks over wine and cheese. Childcare is provided.

June, July and 1st half of August - The choir invites all willing and interested to join them for a Sunday, a month, or for the entire summer. If you are curious, interested, or merely willing please show up in the choir loft Sundays at 10:15 a.m. to rehearse. You will not be asked to vest in choir robes, or commit for any longer than you desire.

July 19 - Author: Greg Garrett will preach at 11:00 a.m. service

July 20-24 - Vacation Bible School - See below!

July 28 - Ladies Bridge - 10:30 a.m.

Vacation Bible School

9:30 a.m. to noon on July 20-24.

Several Episcopal churches collaborate in presenting an exciting Vacation Bible School every summer. This year we will gather at Christ Church Cathedral (425 S. 2nd Street) to learn about Rome in the days of St. Paul.

Children will have a short visit with St. Paul and his jailer before their daily visit to the catacombs. They will play games that Roman children enjoyed, taste Roman food and learn 1st century crafts like basket weaving and jewelry making. You can learn more about "Paul and the Underground Church" at Group Publishing's web site.

Children age 4 through rising 5th graders will participate as members of Roman “families.” Childcare will be provided for younger children of volunteers.

There is a registration fee of $10 per child – but don’t let that stop you, scholarship money is available, just talk to Martha.
